Business Chinese (BCT)
【Course Introduction】
The Business Chinese Test is a national standard Chinese test established to test the Chinese proficiency of non-Chinese speakers in their first language to engage in business activities. Communication skills, the test is divided into listening, reading and speaking and writing, which are independent of each other.
【BCT grade standard】
Level 1: Have not yet acquired the ability to communicate in Chinese in business activities
Level 2: The ability to communicate in Chinese in business activities
Level 3: Can effectively use Chinese to communicate in business activities
Level 4: Can communicate in Chinese proficiently in business activities
Level 5: Can communicate freely and appropriately in Chinese in business activities
【Learning use】
1. Provide standards for enterprises to evaluate non-Chinese-speaking employees (candidates) and their ability to use Chinese for daily work; test scores can be used as a reference for selection, employment and promotion.
2. To recruit business-related majors for various schools and training institutions, and to provide reference for students' business Chinese proficiency in the education and teaching links such as class placement and credit awarding.
3. Provide reference for business Chinese learners to self-learn and self-evaluate business Chinese ability.

【Examination Content】
The whole test takes about 70 minutes (including 5 minutes for candidates to fill in their personal information)
1. Hearing
1. A total of 10 questions. Listen to each question twice. Each question is a word or phrase, a picture is provided on the test paper, and the test taker judges right or wrong based on what they hear.
2. A total of 10 questions. Listen to each question twice. Each question is a sentence, and there are 3 pictures on the test paper. Candidates choose the corresponding picture according to what they heard.
3. A total of 10 questions. Listen to each question twice. Each question is a two-sentence dialogue between two people. The third person asks a question based on the dialogue. There are 3 options on the test paper. Candidates choose the answer based on what they heard.
2. Reading
1. A total of 10 questions. For the first 5 questions, each question provides one or two sentences or two sentences of dialogue. There is a blank in the sentence. Candidates need to fill in the blanks with words from the options provided; for the last 5 questions, a table or a short application essay is provided on the test paper. There are 5 blanks in the essay, candidates should fill in the blanks by choosing words from the options provided.
2. A total of 20 questions. A series of reading materials are provided on the test paper, such as pictures, tables, paragraphs, chapters, etc. Each reading material has one to three questions, and candidates have to choose the answer from 3 options.
3. Writing
10 questions in total. Each question provides a sentence with a space, and requires candidates to write the correct Chinese characters or words in the space according to the pinyin prompts.
